The Community

The community near Bragg and East Streets in Southeast Raleigh has been on the books with the City of Raleigh as an area in need of revitalization for over 32 years. Despite millions of dollars spent there, the streets are still filled with boarded up homes, prostitution, crime, and a cycle of poverty, with little means of escape for those who grew up there. Revitalization is not just new homes or cleaner streets; the people need physical, emotional and spiritual revitalization as well. We know this kind of revitalization cannot come from the government it can only come from the Love of a Savior and those He sends to bring it.

On the right is a Crime Density Map for the year 2012. The dark red circle, indicating the most crime, is right in the heart of Bragg N East.
